"This code works most of the time, but I had a few pokemon I still wasn't able to rename after applying this code.
I had no clue what this did so a big thanks to Jessie for helping out.įurther testing done by /u/LordransFinest: It's not yet known if this works on non-shiny Pokemon. If the Pokemon is shiny, it will unshinify it. I have a few ideas to prevent this, but I shall share those at another point.As tested by /u/JessieMulay, if you use this code on a traded Pokemon, it will change the OT, ID, & SID to match yours. One could just afk on a new file and run into level 80 mons without even facing Valarie. Although that is the plan, I am aware of how easily this can be abused. Knowing all this is great and all, but how exactly will they scale? As of right now, the plan is to have playtime influence scalings. Nothing is set in stone as this is pretty early on, but, this is what I have in mind: It's pretty empty right now as most of it isn't even evented, however, I have a lot of plans for this place. This small snip-it is only about 1/8th of the place. I don't want to show the entire map, but here's a little bit of context on how big this map is: The path to Akuwa Town is short and simple, but once you start exploring,Ī whole new world is opened up to you. One of the largest areas in the game, actually. Well, for one, the place is absolutely massive. So I transformed it into something with substance, You can tell that much from just playing through it. One of the only areas that wasn't planned out at all. Route 4 never had a good design because at the time, I had no idea what to do with it. What is the Reservoir? It's a giant and wide open area that expands over time. If you're unfamiliar with this, the Wild Area is a big and wide open space that has a variety of Pokemon based on location, and weather. If you've been keeping up with Generation 8, you might've heard or seen stuff about the new Wild Area. I have exciting things to share with you, but I don't want to just text dump after doing this mini Q&A.

Soooooo, from now on, one week after a post has been made on Patreon, I will then update everyone on here. I have to make more of a conscious effort to update the public whenever I can. So, you're right, I do have things to show, and I will admit, a downside to this thread being locked is that I don't have a reason to check it unless significant progress has been made, and as such a lot of the juicier updates are posted on my Patreon. I've neglected this thread quite a bit, and that's why I'm writing up this post right now. It also makes archiving and viewing posts much easier.Įven if development is slow, don't you have something to show? I've decided that this is the best course of action, at least for now. I don't necessarily like this thread being locked, but based off previous threads eventually turning into nothing but off-topic conversations, posts that say nothing but "x% hype!!", and the occasional impatient user asking why such and such isn't out yet, I'll get back into the groove of things sooner or later. I'm trying to do as much as I can, but I ask that you be patient with me during this cycle.
Motivation and energy are very low right now so it's hard to do more than one or two events a day. TL:DR, I've been in a pretty poor spot health-wise, which has resulted in me barely working on the game. Hey, so it's been a while and I realize there hasn't been many updates on what's going on, so I'm writing this up to shed some light.
